Cooking time: 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil;
  • 1 medium onion;
  • 450 g minced beef;
  • ½ cup ketchup;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar;
  • 2 tablespoons mustard;
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder;
  • salt, ground black pepper - to taste;
  • 4 tablespoons butter ;
  • 8 slices sandwich bread;
  • 2 cups grated cheddar.

Preparation

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the chopped onion until soft. Add ground beef and brown. Drain off fat.

Add ketchup, minced garlic, brown sugar, mustard and chili powder to the pan. Add salt and pepper to taste and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Place the finished mixture on a plate.

Brush one side of each slice of bread with butter. Place the first one on a wiped frying pan, oil side down. Top with a spoonful of mince, cheddar and another slice of bread, butter side up.

Over medium heat, toast the sandwich on both sides until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.

Do the same with the remaining ingredients. You will get four delicious sandwiches.
