Types of heart disease and their symptoms

early signs of heart disease

As a person grows older, the body generally weakens, and various diseases begin to attack his weak body. Because the heart is one of the most important organs in the body and has the most influence on its various functions, heart disease is the most dangerous to a person’s life. What are these diseases? How can we avoid it and monitor its symptoms?

The heart's general function is to pump the oxygen necessary for the body's cells to function, so any defect in the heart muscle is a cause for concern. The presence of any defect in the functioning of the heart is called heart disease.

1- Coronary heart disease

The accumulation of fat within the walls of the arteries that connect to the heart leads to failure in their function, and this is called coronary heart disease, which results in a deficiency in the coronary circulation, making it unable to transport a sufficient amount of blood to the heart and surrounding tissues. There are about 600,000 deaths annually in the United States. United States and Britain as a result of this dangerous disease.

2- Cardiomyopathy

It is heart failure for any reason, such as irregular heartbeat or sudden cardiac arrest. This disease has many forms, including:

  • Alcohol impairment
  • Congenital disorder
  • Illness resulting from malnutrition
  • Ischemia
  • Hypertension
  • Inflammatory disorder
  • Valvulopathy
  • Myocardial atrophy

3- Cardiovascular diseases

These are diseases that directly affect the heart or affect the arteries and veins to and from the heart. Scientists have found that women in particular suffer from vascular diseases, while men often suffer from direct heart muscle diseases, and these diseases include:

  • Ischemia

It is a disease that directly affects the heart, and causes a decrease in the percentage of blood that the heart pumps to the various organs in the body.

  • Congestive heart

It is also called congestive heart failure, and it weakens the heart's ability to supply the body with the blood needed to carry out various body functions, as the heart does not pump blood throughout the entire body.

  • Heart disease caused by high blood pressure

This disease resulting from high blood pressure leads to enlargement of the left ventricle of the heart muscle, and may result in coronary or congestive heart disease and irregular heartbeat.

  • Inflammatory heart disease

It is an inflammation of the heart muscle itself or in the tissues surrounding it, including inflammation of the inner layer of the heart or the so-called inner lining, as well as inflammation that causes heart enlargement.

  • Heart valve disease

The heart has four main valves, one or all of which may be affected by this disease, which is one of the diseases resulting from heart infections.

There are many heart diseases and their causes are many, and given the sensitivity of this organ, and the fact that it is essential in the body, we must know the symptoms of these diseases and deal with them if we feel them, and this is what we will read in the second part of this article.
